It’s about to be a high powered, high energy, and fun-filled weekend. Prior to last week I was on the steering committee planning to get in where I fit in. Now I’m a POC (Person of Color lol) and a moderator for the “Can You Hear Me Now? FM/AM vs. Satellite Radio” session. I’m soooo excited, grateful, and honored to be of service especially as I get to support Jeffery Tribble Jr. and Jessica Teachey and work along side many talented and super dope music curators.

The Wammie Awards is a 31-year-old music award show that recognizes and celebrates D.C. area artists and musicians for their artistic works. The MusicianShip acquired the rights to The Wammies which now includes an all-day music conference on Saturday at Decades nightclub in DuPont Circle. Which will include all day live performances, over 60 music industry moderators and panelists sharing over 12 hours of music education content! And, Sunday at the Lincoln Theatre is the award show with many of our talented local artists performing and receiving awards for various categories.
